WINNING BIDS

Hi: On auction number 270552389600, I made a bid. Later, someone came in and made the same bid. The later person was declared the winner and bought the merchandise. How can someone else come in behind someone and win the auction. This is a technique I need to understand. THANKS JIm|||They didn't bid after you. They bid before you. Because they are on top doesn't mean those bids came later but they are winning. You need to look at the time stamp next to the bids to determine bidding order. They bid Mar. 31 at 01:54:51 and you bid more than 12 hours after them at 14:18:47. there been alot of confusion with new bidders lately over this. Remember the list doesn't go in bid order but in whos got the winning bid stays on top. You can have multple bidders that bid after a person who put in a high proxy bid and it looks like they actually bid first if you just look at the list order but you need to look at the time stamp that is listed with each bid. Tie bids go to whoever bid first. Most people will add a few cents instead of bidding in round numbers to help try breaking a possible tie.
