How to make better use of B2B website

E-commerce has become an irreversible method to do business, and it induces more and more B2B websites. Many people had done their business on the platform of B2B website; however, some customers complain that there is no order form B2B website. In my point of view, the reason people failed to get any order from B2B website is mainly because they don't know how to use it. In order to help people to get better use of B2B website, I’d like to give some tips here: Above of, register some famous B2B websites, such as www.cycbiz.com and www.ecplaza.net. There are lots of B2B websites available nowadays; you need to check out which is better. Next, updating your products’ information frequently to ensure your offers are on the top rank. Including repost business opportunities in each day and renew your products’ photos every week, and make sure the photos you upload are clearly. Thirdly, use keywords skilfully. It is unwisely to use the ambiguity key words, for there may have thousands of information have the same key words with yours, and if you set a more definite key word you may rank first in case the seekers search by definite words. Last but not least, seize every inquiry. While inquiring with you the buyer may have inquired many other suppliers; you need to make the buyer believe you are the right person he/she is looking for.|||Lee, all very good suggestions. I'm sure this will be helpful to those considering a website of thier own.

Automated Responces To Best Offers

I have to say that automated responces defeat the purpose of the best offer system. Several times I have run out of offers on a best offer situation and been within 15% of the buy it now price. Isn't the point of the best offer system, the ability to work out a price with the seller through negociation. That being said why does ebay allow automated responces that just decline an offer without counteroffers that at least give you an idea of what the seller whants for the item. It's without a doubt the most fustrating, waste of time on ebay.|||Several times I have run out of offers on a best offer situation and been within 15% of the buy it now price. What is your first offer? 50%? I think most Sellers that do the Best offer are looking for "reasonable" offers. Have your first offer be 80%, second 85%, 3rd at 90% If they still don't accept, take the hint and pay full price if you want it. .Delivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.|||It is BEST Offer. That doesn't mean trying to get the cheapest possible price. it means you offer the MOST you are willing to pay, and if that isn't enough for the seller, then you should walk away. You should never offer less than 90%.|||OP..please don't take offense to this, I am just doing it for your own good... RESPONCE is spelled response NEGOCIATION is spelled negotiation||||||James... Ecaxtly is spelled EXACTLY!! LOL!!!|||Isn't the point of the best offer system, the ability to work out a price with the seller through negociation. nope, it's a forum where you can make the best offer and seller can accept/reject/counter offer. but it's not a place to waste a sellers time. most i know have it set to auto reject low offers. make your best offer the first time and if rejected walk away. and correcting some's spelling is never "to help them" , lol. it's always to rub their nose in .......it i'm the worst speller around ,|||and correcting some's spelling is never "to help them" , lol. it's always to rub their nose in .......it if nose rubbing is what you want to call it, then go ahead...I just said what everyone is thinking...It drives me crazy when adults can't spell. Personal pet peeve of mine and I have no problem letting the world know....I'm sure you have pet peeves too and have made them known to others as I have here.|||easier to just ignor than "correct" others. unless you think it makes you look better. but to most on these boards it's get you either ignored or your posts reported. I just said what everyone is thinking i'd doubt 99.999999% even saw it. And no one else complained. most will ignor , it's not something anyone i know on these boards would comment on.|||From the other side of the table, the automated response is useful because as a seller I can provide buyers who send offers an immediate response. If the offer is within a reasonable range, you win right away. If all offers had to be replied to personally, it could be a few hours before I even see your offer, since eBay is a part-time venture for me in an otherwise hectic schedule. (I think this is true for many sellers, BTW.) FWIW, I don't necessarily agree that you always need to offer 90%, 80%, etc. of an asking price. If I can still profit, and especially if I've had the item listed for awhile, I'm likely to accept an offer. However, selling mostly used items, the point where I can still profit varies a lot from one item to the next. Some sellers, and some categories, are going to have a thinner margin to work with. You also need tp consider the time spent acquiring inventory, listing it here, and covering all the fees from eBay and Paypal. It can easily cost several dollars just in fees alone to simply list an item. That said, I don't think it hurts to make a lower offer, however, if you ONLY send reallylowball offers, your odds of having them accepted are probably not going to be as good whether they're declined automatically or they're declined manually.|||It's without a doubt the most frustrating, waste of time on ebay when bidders don't make their best offer the first time. If ebay goes back to the original 1 best offer instead of 3 try to kick me or insult me offers I might use it more.||||||I guess I don't agree that your best offer should be within 90% of the BIN. What about the "sale" practice where an item is reduced 30% or 50% by the seller. Last week I made a best offer on an item I have been watching for weeks. The had only one more day on the 3o day listing and had been unable to sell it. Item was 11.99 with 9.95 shipping, both high amounts for the item IMO. I offered $5.25 and my offer was accepted.Whatever will be will be ..|||Yes, sometimes the best offer function is ridiculous. I did one (made an offer) one time on a $45.00 item. It did not accept my offer until I was within $1.43. On the other hand, I have made $80.00 offers on $140.00 items and been accepted. Just yesterday I counter-offered a $75.00 offer on a $109.00 B.I.N. I had running, and accepted $85.00.|||I agree on this with you OP. I usually bargain before i buy and %90 of the sellers price doesn't mean good bargaining. However if the sellers price is honest, i don't bargain at all.

refund process

I bought an item and received it this week. The auction stated that the item was tested and working, it also states no returns. When I received the item it does not work. The item is a combustable gas detector and requires special rechargable batteries which costs 50 bucks to replace and the batteries in the item are dead and corroded. Which leads me to believe it wasn't tested as stated. I sent the seller an email threw ebay and explained the situation. He stated that I should ship the item back and he would offer a refund. He sent this message threw my yahoo email and not threw the ebay messaging. Also in his message he stated that he never used this, which also leaves me to believe he never tested it like his ad says. My question is how would you go about this return? I have this feeling in my gut like I am going to get the short end of the deal. The fact that he sent me a message outside ebay gives me a bad feeling. Also he has 10 negative feedbacks in the last month, should have not bought from him after reading that but he sells a lot and also has a lot of good feedback. One of his negatives says "got it and didnt work "tested and working" ...NOT!! bad seller, no contact" and another says "Didn't work, returned per agreement, did not refund". This last negative concerns me about getting ripped off. From what I understand ebay won't recognize his email to me stating he will refund because it was sent threw yahoo and not threw the ebay messaging system? Should I file a claim or email back asking him to email threw ebay? I'm just trying to make sure that I do everything I can to prevent him from receiving the item back and then not refunding me like one of his negatives says. Thanks for any advice, Scott|||File the SNAD & ship back with Delivery Confirmation# to show ebay/PP & you'll get your refund back. Remember you have 60 days to leave FB for this transaction & only 45 days to file the claim. IMO don't email them unless its thru the message system & tell them you can only get responses from them thru ebay as well.|||File the SNAD claim right away then send the item back with delivery confirmation. This is a must because it is proof to paypal and ebay that you sent it back. Don't respond to the seller at all. Let the process work.|||File the SNAD dispute with Paypal as stated above. Only communicate with the seller via the dispute console. Escalate the dispute to a claim within 10 days after filing, no matter what or if the seller responds. Paypal will give you instructions of how and where to return the item with delivery confirmation. Give Paypal the D/C # and await your refund of item price and the original S&H There is no such thing as "No returns" when Paypal is used.|||Look here for filing the SNAD dispute with Paypal Link|||Thanks for the advice everyone. I filed a claim with paypal. Paypal didn't say to ship the item back, just said they will notify me when seller responds. Do I ship it back right away or should I wait till paypal tells me to ship it? Thanks, Scott|||Thanks for the advice everyone. I filed a claim with paypal. Paypal didn't say to ship the item back, just said they will notify me when seller responds. Do I ship it back right away or should I wait till paypal tells me to ship it? Thanks, Scott|||Pay pal has to give the seller 7 days to respond to the dispute and try to make right. Do not send until they tell you to. I have to admit I am having a hard time feeling for you. You admit to knowing about this sellers horrible feedback.... Link In this thread, you ask the OP why they waited 5 months to receive an item clearly acknowledging their stupidity..(which were my sentiments also)So, now I have to ask you, why bid on an item which had 10 negatives that you knew of? You even admit one said the item didn't work... Link I'm sorry, but I guess I just don't get the thought process some people go through when justifying a purchase...|||"Thanks for the advice everyone. I filed a claim with paypal. Paypal didn't say to ship the item back, just said they will notify me when seller responds. Do I ship it back right away or should I wait till paypal tells me to ship it? Thanks, Scott" I guess you did not read the selle'rs feedback OR Post #3 which tells you exactly what and when to do it.|||I did read post 3, I also read post 1 and 2 which both stated "file a claim and ship back the item" Was just double checking since I don't go threw this stuff everyday Thank you|||I did read the sellers feed back and I also did admit that I should have hit the back button after reading it. But I didn't and guess I hoped I would be one of the many positive feedbacks. Guess I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and now I"m paying for it. Yes I did take a chance and it didn't pan out, now I am trying to take care of the situation using the paypal process designed for these reasons. And there is a difference between buying something and receiving it and trying to take care of the problem and waiting 5 months for something to arrive. In my opinion there is a big difference. Maybe I was foolish for buying from a seller with a 97.9 feed back. Guess I will only buy from sellers with a 100% feedback and perfect stars, which would rule out most sellers on ebay.|||Also not asking anyone to "feel" for me. Just trying to learn the process of returning something. I took the chance on this seller and I will deal with it, just was looking for some advice on the right way to handle it. Thanks You|||And there is a difference between buying something and receiving it and trying to take care of the problem and waiting 5 months for something to arrive. In my opinion there is a big difference. Are you joking? No difference at all. Both cases could have had easy resolutions...Yours was to not bid in the first place seeing the MANY red doughnuts before hand, and the buyer who waited 5 months for the item to arrive simply could have filed an INR after 45 days and had all of their money refunded.|||Don't let the crabby ones ruin your day. When you send back the item, be sure to get Delivery confirmation on it to prove the seller got it. If it cost more than $249 you must have Signature Confirmation. The process takes time but you will get your money back.|||Pretty in Pink, I agree with you and have stated numerous times that I did take a chance and I should have walked away after reading the feedback. I'm not asking anyone to feel sorry for me, just was asking about the refund process. I bought the item and now am working threw the process of returning it. The difference between this situation and the other one is I didn't wait around for 5 months before asking, I asked the day after I got it. I've had bad experiences at local stores, doesn't mean that I won't shop there. Point being is I bought an item that was said tested and works, it wasn't so now I will return it. I didn't buy an item and wait half a year and ask about a refund. Even most local stores don't refund after 5 months. Thank you to everyone that provided helpful suggestions on the return process.

Returned Item waiting for pick up-resolution center behind on case details.

I purchased a New in package Garmin Nuvi GPS on Nov. 27th. Seller offered free shipping, and sent item in a bubble envelope. The touch screen wasn't working in some spots. The seller states she doesn't accept returns, so I went to resolution center and filed a INAD. Resolution center case states they are reviewing the case, will get back to us in 48 hours. After waitng 10 days and still no response from resolution center I sent them a message asking when could we expect a resolution. They sent an email telling me to send the item back, and sent me printable postage to do so. I sent the item off using their lable. The item has reached it's destination, and is waiting for pick up. (The seller has a PO Box) The resolution center case details have not changed, still state they will get back to us in 48 hours, and just this morning I got an email stating the case will automatically close in five days. I again sent an email to ebay letting them know the item has been returned. Can the seller just not pick up the item and I get left with no money, and no item? Ebay is really behind on this, and I am getting real nervous that I may be out $144.00.|||Pay pal actually provided you with the printable label? That I have never heard of. Learn something new everyday. Although they provided it to you, you now need to type in the label number in the resolution center to prove it has been delivered. They themselves do not take the time to follow the tracking of every package. You have to do this for them. It doesn't matter if the recipient didn't pick it up. As long as it shows it has been delivered to his pay pal address, you should be good. Have you tried calling anyone at pay pal. Sometimes that gets the ball rolling....|||The OP filed with Ebay, they provided the label.||||||Ebay is not behind on this , you are! You need to escalate the dispute to a claim and provide Ebay with the Delivery Confirmation number proving the item was returned. It does not matter if the seller picks up the package or not. Paypal and Ebay will refund the buyer , even if a seller refuses or fails to pick up the package. Stop communicating with the seller and only communicate via the dispute console. Your seller thinks if he strings you along , does not pack up the package he will win the dispute. He/she is dead wrong. GO to the dispute resolution page, provide the D/C # and state the seller is refusing to pick up the package at his PO box. If you do not do this Ebay will auto close the dispute and you will get nothing. The seller is hoping the dispute closes before the PO sends the unit back to you as not picked up. Here is the New Ebay Buyer protection policy. Follow the proper procedure and escalate the resolution to an actual claim to get your refund! Read here Link "To take advantage of the eBay Buyer Protection Policy, buyers should first contact the seller and attempt to resolve the issue. If the buyer doesn't hear from the seller or can't resolve the issue with the seller, they can file a case under the eBay Buyer Protection Policy." READ "Resolution of cases under the eBay Buyer Protection Policy" Go to the dispute, give the D/C # state the seller is refusing to pick up the returned package, accelerate/escalate the dispute to a claim with EBAY now! "Unless resolution of the case is accelerated, after 7 days (or 10 days in the case that the transaction is cross border), eBay will check with the buyer to see if they are satisfied. If the buyer is satisfied, the case is closed. If we don't hear back from the buyer within an appropriate time, we won't refund them or hold the seller accountable for the transaction. If the buyer is still working with the seller or does not respond, we'll check back in another week.If the buyer informs eBay that no resolution has been reached, eBay will review the case. If we find "item not received" cases in the buyer's favor, eBay will refund the cost of the item and original shipping to the buyer. If we resolve "item not as described" cases in the buyer's favor, we will in most circumstances ask the buyer to return the item to the seller which will be at the buyer's expense (unless eBay opts to pay for return shipping). Once the item has been returned to the seller, eBay will refund the cost of the item and original shipping to the buyer. Refunds will be made with a PayPal credit. Buyers with an active PayPal account will simply log in to PayPal to claim the refund. Buyers without a PayPal account will be asked to create one with their eBay registered email address to claim the refund. Full details on PayPal accounts can be found in the PayPal User Agreement. If in the unlikely event we are unable to send refunds to a PayPal account, we may provide refunds in another form, including a voucher redeemable for purchases on eBay. Refunds will not be made in any other manner. Contact Ebay via the dispute console now!|||I am reading more and more about eBay paying return shipping on SNAD claims. I wonder how long this will last. I can not imagine eBay will last very long if all these claims (refunds and return shipping) come out of their war chest................................................................................................. ================================================ . They can't take back from the seller more than the buyer paid him.||||||it might make crummy sellers start accurately describing their items, though, which would be nice. but too many buyers returning simply for buyer's remorse would be a nightmare. ~~cyn~~ little howie~~the ebay hall monitor~~he just wants to be loved! he knows how to read the year of manufacture on a coach creed, and he's a proud member of the pbp; the elite faux fighter's cadre!|||I did end up calling Ebay~ They refunded my money...added that they made a mistake letting the seller use a PO BOX for confirmed address. All went well! Thanks for your help!|||added that they made a mistake letting the seller use a PO BOX for confirmed address. They actually said that? What a joke. Ebay really needs to hire more intelligent monkeys, lol. The fact that the seller had a PO Box has no bearing. There are plenty of people out there who do not get mail delivery to their houses and must have a PO Box. Glad you got your money back, though.|||"added that they made a mistake letting the seller use a PO BOX for confirmed address. " There is no such thing (anymore) as "confirmed address" for Ebay or Paypal. The Ebay rep is once again ill informed. Sellers are allowed to have a P O Box for their address.

What's the deal with sellers backing out of sale?

My hubby and I have purchased 2 items on ebay since the 1st of the year - paid for the items, then receive an email from the seller saying "sorry". What's up with that? What happened to the contract aspect of buying something? Doesn't it work the same way for the seller?|||It is supposed to. All you can do is file a non-performing seller report at this Link~ Lucy ~ Guide to eBay Board AcronymsClick on for links to Help Pages for a new eBayer|||I'm assuming they did not write back and offer an explanation? Meaning the item probably did not bring the amount of money they hoped for vs. some kind of snafu like it was sold to someone else, misplaced, etc? The first annoys me. I've had a few items close at a low enough price where I actually lost a small amount of money by selling and shipping. I still followed through and sent the items. I could understand the occasional "Oops"/misplaced/listed in error thing happening though.|||While there is a valid sale contract made, which you could take to court if you wanted to, in reality eBay cannot force a seller to honor the sale. Your best options are to file the report as noted in post #2, and leave appropriate feedback. If the seller doesn't voluntarily refund, you can also file an Item Not Received dispute to get your money back.friends Director,|||Hope that you get a seller that will explain..with a good explanation. If not really hope you get a seller that will refund your money. If the seller doesn't I want to stress how important it is to contact Ebay. If the seller doesn't I want to stress how important it is to contact Ebay. Just file INR, Escalate and call it a day. .Delivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.|||Usually sellers who are drop-shippers do this becasue their source is out of stock. When it happens to me, if the seller is very apologetic, refunds immediately and takes the item down off his listings, I do not fuss about it. If he doesn't refund quickly or continues to list the item for sale, then i get mad and report.|||Even if the seller refunds your money, you can still file a NonPerformingSeller report. Just as an Unpaid Item Dispute puts a Strike on a buyer, a NPS puts a mark on the seller. You can also leave appropraite feedback and Detailed Seller Ratings. Since you did not ever see the item you can leave no rating for As Described, and Shipping Fee, while rating the transaction a ONE for communication and delivery time.|||how can you rate delivery time when the item was never shipped? Just sayin'|||I've never had a seller do this to me but I've read countless posts by buyer who had this problem. I don't buy anything on eBay that would be dropshipped so perhaps that is why I've never encountered the situation.... If the seller refunds and apologizes immediately I might not report him for NPS but if they are just jacking me around because it didn't get bid as high as they want I'd file. I think out of stock is a better excuse then it didn't bid as high as I want....|||Thanks for the link.|||I don't know what a 'drop shipment" is but i don't think these items would qualify for that. These were both items the sellers had in their posession. My guess is the items didn't go as high as they had hoped - although there was no reserve on either item.||||||There are valid reasons for having to end an auction early or cancel the transaction. I have had to cancel one time because when I was packing up the dish it dropped and broke. I was mortified and afraid my buyer was going to give me bad feedback. I did appologize and gave a full explanation luckily I had an understanding buyer. I personally would move on and look for the item elsewhere. The only time I would be less than happy is if I had to ask for my money back. A seller should give your money back immediately. I am just the type of person who sees good in others and unless I have proof I would never file a report just because I THINK they backed out because they didn't get enough money. Life is to short, IMO, to sweat the small stuff. This is a posting ID to help fight against AI or RLI. A "Drop Ship" seller is when the seller does not have the actual item in hand. They order the item from a supplier" after the auction listing has ended with a Ebay buyer. The Drop Ship supplier ships the item to the Ebay buyer directly from their location/warehouse. Many /most Drop Shippers use "stock manufacturer photos" and many of the items are new items easily found in retail locations. If the seller is not using an actual photo of the item and using a "stock photo" from a catalog/ manufactuer, then 9 times out of 10 they are drop shipping the item. Since the seller does not have the actual item to photograph or in hand, it is very common for the item to be "out of stock, discontinued or on back order" after the Ebay auction ends. This is in direct violation of the Selling Practices policy Link A selling practices policy report and the NON Performing Seller report should be filed here Link It really does not matter, if the seller did not get "enough for the item or they are out of stock", they are not able to deliver the item to the buyer and should be reported. Appropriate feedback such as (example) "Item out of stock ,not available Poor transaction" will quickly alert Ebay the seller is not performing as required. Link

question for the dvd gods - are promo sets legal/legit?

Hi - I've been waiting impatiently for the next installment of a favorite Showtime series to be sold on dvd. As it was not available on Amazon, I gave ebay a shot. What I'm finding are a small number of "promo sets". They all appear to have been watched 1 or 2 times. Has anyone here purchased a promo set in the past? Do you know if I should have any concerns about the legality of buying any? Anything else you think one should know? Thanks in advance.|||Perfectly legal. Be aware that promo copies often feature plain/generic packaging, and not the final (retail) art. ;^)|||And if they're screening copies they may have the company logo flashed on the screen several times throughout the show.|||Thanks bunches for the replies. Your insight is is helpful.
