iTunes won't import whole CD ...

I am having a problem.
I am rebuilding my library from scratch, to replace my poorer quality MP3 files.

Every CD I attempt to import, it only rips one or two songs from the album.
iTunes tells me that the whole thing is imported fine, and all the songs show up, but only a few of them are actual songs.

I have the latest version, drivers, etc. this has never been a problem before, only recently.
