Attempts to Add New Music Freeze ...

iTunes (9.0.1) Freezes on me now whenever I try and add new songs into it. I am not aware of when the problem started... mostly because I use iTunes only on a "need" basis (i.e. when I'm adding stuff).

Adding stuff from a Custom CD (formerly blank) causes it to freeze.
Adding stuff from a commercial CD (i.e. something you buy at the store with Music already on it) causes it to freeze.
Adding stuff to the computer and then trying to enter it into iTunes causes it to FREEZE.

I've reset the computer X many times; un-installed and RE-installed iTunes X many times... Checked the CD-Drive...bribed it with money...Tried to monitor it with Task Manager.... made death threats.... cleaned out old files...had computer virus checked... made MORe death threats...


All Futile. Help would be appriciated: I'm 90% sure this has got nothing to do with the computer; iTunes works the same until I try to add new stuff (i.e. playing music)
